ShipSecure provides technical security and code quality auditing services, aimed at assisting developers in improving the security, reliability, and quality of their code. ShipSecure offers guidance, code review, and proactive security recommendations based on industry standards and best practices.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ShipSecure's services, you affirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian permission to use this service.
- You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
- You are authorized to share the code and information provided for analysis, and that it is legally your property or that you have obtained all necessary permissions.
3. Service Usage
3.1 Code Submission
By submitting code for security analysis and quality assessment, you grant ShipSecure a temporary, limited license to access and review your code solely for the purpose of providing the requested services.
3.2 Confidentiality and Data Retention
ShipSecure prioritizes strict confidentiality for all code and information provided by users. Your code is stored securely and retained only for the duration of the audit. Upon completion of the service and after you have reviewed the audit results, all copies of your code will be permanently deleted from our servers.
3.3 Scope of Service
ShipSecure performs audits aimed at identifying security vulnerabilities, performance issues, and code quality concerns. However, ShipSecure does not guarantee a comprehensive identification of all potential issues, as the service may be limited to the specific areas you have requested. The recommendations and security practices provided are based solely on the code submitted and may not be exhaustive.
4. Refund Policy
Please refer to our Refund Policy for information on eligibility and procedures for requesting a refund. Refunds may be provided if no issues or improvements are identified in the submitted code.
5. Limitations of Liability
ShipSecure provides guidance and insights but is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
- Use or inability to use the service.
- Errors, inaccuracies, or issues not identified during the analysis.
- Actions or decisions made based on the information or recommendations provided by ShipSecure.
ShipSecure does not assume responsibility for any third-party consequences of changes made to the code post-analysis.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 User Content
You retain all rights to your code and any other intellectual property submitted for review. ShipSecure does not claim ownership of any code or proprietary information provided. All user code is securely stored and deleted upon completion of the analysis, as outlined in our Confidentiality and Data Retention policy.
6.2 ShipSecure Intellectual Property
ShipSecure owns the rights to any templates, analysis methods, and tools used in the audit process. You agree not to replicate, distribute, or reuse these methods or tools for any purpose outside of ShipSecure's service.
7. Disclaimer
ShipSecure provides information, guidance, and code review services on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. While we strive to provide accurate and current recommendations, ShipSecure makes no warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or security of the advice provided.
Disclaimer of Warranties: ShipSecure expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
No Guarantee of Security: Despite best efforts, ShipSecure does not guarantee that your code will be entirely free of vulnerabilities or security issues post-analysis.
8. User Responsibilities
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information for analysis purposes. ShipSecure is not liable for any inaccuracies resulting from incomplete or misleading information provided by the user.
- Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring that the code submitted complies with all applicable laws and does not infringe on third-party rights.
- Implementation: Any security recommendations provided by ShipSecure are for your consideration and discretion. ShipSecure is not responsible for how recommendations are implemented or for any issues that may arise as a result.
9. Code Retention and Deletion
ShipSecure retains your source code only for the duration of the audit. Upon completion of the service and final delivery of the audit report, all copies of your code will be deleted from our servers to ensure privacy and security.
If you require further reviews or re-assessments, you will need to resubmit your code, as ShipSecure does not retain or archive user code post-audit.
10. Termination
ShipSecure reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms of Service or any other reason deemed appropriate by ShipSecure.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Austria. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Austria.
12. Changes to Terms of Service
ShipSecure reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or otherwise notifying you. Your continued use of the service signifies acceptance of any updated terms.
